Well this is the easiest healthy eating plan ever!

I can’t believe how good I feel and how easy it is to follow! Today is day five, and honestly has been the most difficult yet. I have had a stressful day generally and it has been tempting to reach for the wine, but I haven’t!

I am not hungry at all, and I find I wake up feeling refreshed, not dozy. The black circles under my eyes are slowly disappearing and my skin is clearer.

Best of all, I have lost 1.8kgs! That is enough motivation to keep going!

Well done everyone, thanks for sharing your super motivating testimonials and thanks Damian and Phyllis for sharing your awesome programme!

“I have just come to the end of my 21 day challenge and I am pleased to say that I have lost 6kgs, 6cms off my tummy and 6cm off my thigh!
I have paid a lot of money to another outfit to lose weight before and had amazing results, only to find that once my goal was reached I was on my own and of course the weight crept back on, nearly 20kgs worth!  The good thing about your programme is that the support will always be there and it is so easy to follow that I can’t see myself ‘falling off the wagon’ this time.  I still want to lose another 14kgs and I can see this happening easily by Christmas time.
Thank you for giving me back my focus and the will and method to take control over my eating and my health.  I shall sing your praises loudly!”

“Firstly I would like to thank you all so much, it has been a fantastic start to my weight loss and has given me so much motivation to continue. I have lost a total of 4kg in 3 weeks and a massive 11cm off my waist after putting on 25kg in 4 yrs. After having my 4 adorable children, I knew I needed to do something about it. I have always been heavily into sport until I had my first child and am wanting to get back into it now. I am way too competitive to play socially so want to lose weight and get fit before the season starts next mach.
I highly recommend this program and intend to continue on the diet as it has given me so much more energy and absolutely love the food.
Thanks again for all the support and handy hints.”

Damian I have finished the programme and lost about 5 kgs but the clothes fit a lot better and I suspect with just a little more work I will drop 4 cm off the waist in total. BUT my eating habits have changed entirely and I find myself looking at other people in horror and what they eat now….

Product Questions:

(Q) Where do I get Ketostix from?

(A) These are available from chemists/pharmacies BUT you can also buy them online from our “Challenge Products” page – there are other super boosters that you can access there to help you lose more weight if you like.

(Q) I am having trouble getting Uroplex, fish oil and Colon Clear. Where can I get these products from?

(A) We have put up a link for both of these on the Challenge Product page.

(Q) I have found a different product similar to Colon Clear, would you recommend it?

(A) I am none sure about the products that you have found, I always like to try things on myself before I recommend them. What I do know though is that Uroplex and Colon Clear do the job. The benefit of using a powder (Colon Clear) over a capsule/tablet (Magnesium Complete) is significant. Tablets need to be broken down and often as is the case with this particular supplement – the magnesium it contains will be largely absorbed, not expelled like with the Colon Clear. We want it out of the body with water to hydrate your bowels. The Mg Complete is not likely to do this as each tsp of colon clear supplies 3-4grams of Magnesium Oxide – nearly 25 times greater supply of the magnesium that we need.

I recommend that you order online here. These will be sure to work.

Food Questions:

(Q) Is there a specific eating plan that I can download and follow?

(A) Use your food list and put the food together so it best suits you OR you can go to our “Members Downloads” page and download an eating plan that I have already designed for you! 🙂

(Q) What can I have instead of strawberries?

(A) You could use 1/2 pear or apple – kiwi fruit.

(Q) I’ve been to a few health stores and they haven’t heard of macadamia oil, where can I get it?

(A) Macadamia oil is in the supermarkets – Cathedral Cove or Olivado are the brands in NZ (find it here) and SunCoast Gold Vitality in Australia.

(Q) Is poaching fish just in a fan with water, or wrapped in tinfoil in oven?

(A) Poaching fish is done either way foil or in a pan with herbs and flavors.

(Q) Does garlic have to be fresh?

(A) Garlic is best fresh but you can use the paste if you like.

(Q) Is it ground chilli or Chilli sauce?

(A) Ground chilli – you can make your own chilli sauce i will put up the recipe.

(Q) I can’t find fresh organic, just organic peanut butter is that the same?

(A) that’s fine re the peanut butter – health food stores will make it fresh for you.

(Q) Can I have food that is not listed on my food list?

(A) Only if you don’t want to lose weight. We will advise you of anything that can be added.

(Q) Can I use more herbs than noted on the food list?

(A) Yes!! Add as many fresh herbs as you like.

(Q) I don’t eat or enjoy meat -can I use legumes for my protein?

(A) Yes you can. Just add quinoa or brown rice to your meals too. The total portion of quinoa and lentils mixed should be about a palm full (cooked).

Health Questions:

(Q) I have started a course of antibiotics. Is it still OK to take the supplements while doing this?

(A) We cannot give you medical advice so you must always check with your medical support people.

Move your waste to move your waist – Using Colon Cleanse (Magnesium Oxide)

[viddler id=f9a97ceb&w=545&h=349]

I’m talking about bowel function. It is super important to keep your bowels moving every 12 hours. Sometimes people don’t move their bowels for days, and I have met people who haven’t moved their bowels for seven days at a time!

That’s very bad, very challenging, and even dangerous. If you don’t move your bowels, you’re storing toxins and waste in your body, that can cause all sorts of cellular changes. There are a few things that you can do to work out whether or not your gut is in good health.

Passing wind or burping are clues, messages from the inside of your body, to let you know whether or not you’re healthy in your gut. Something could be stuck right in your gut, feeding parasites bugs, that manufacture stuff you’ve got to get out. This can make you fatigued, cause malnutrition through malabsorbtion, and all kinds of other issues.

That’s not what we want!

Step 1:

Make sure your bowels are moving every single day. For some people caffeine helps, so try a cup of coffee or green tea, and the ten minute rule from caffeine will stimulate their bowel movement. This is somewhat artificial, even though it is a natural stimulant to the body, however, it’s effective and it does move the bowels out. It’s not a good thing to rely on but it does work.

Step 2:

Laxatives cause over stimulation to the gut. This type of bowel movement becomes dependent and lazy. But a really good way to move the bowels is magnesium oxide. Magnesium oxide will cause your bowels to flood with water and evaporate unless you dissolve the powder in water. It’s best to do this before you go to bed. It’s called  the washing machine effect and will send you to the toilet first thing in the morning for a very satisfying movement.

1 tsp magnesium oxide
½ lemon juiced in water
chase with 3-4 glasses of water
do this ½ an hour before bed

Step 3:

Now if you have cleaned out – then it’s time to think about good bacteria. There are three crucial strains, acidophillos, becidophillus, and caseophillus and are found in yoghurts, in a supplement or capsule form at health food stores, supermarkets, your naturopath, your chiropractor, and online. I use a good bacteria on a daily basis, just one capsule every single day, an excellent way to make sure your body is in good shape.

Step 4:

The fourth key point to making sure your bowels are moving properly and appropriately all the time, is to keep your hydration up. Drink as much water as you’re supposed to drink. We’ve spoken about that already in month two and it’s important not to forget it.

Hopefully you get the idea how important it is to get your bowels moving every single day, twice a day: Caffeine will stimulate them, magnesium oxide is fabulous, bacteria in your gut acidophilus, becidophilus and caseophilus  and lots of water.

Keep your guts healthy and you’ll be doing yourself and your family a favour.

“Hi guys

Just thought I should send you my after photo, thanks very much for the programme. 4.5kg down and a huge 9cm loss to the waistline.

And even thought the 21 days are up I will be continuing with quite a few of the meals especially for work lunches as they are tasty, easy and very filling!

Even had my co workers jealous of my lunches!

Thanks again for the programme and I think a repeat after Christmas is a definite.

“Hi Guys,

Well I have finished the 21days to change and there have definatley been changes. Thanks for the great start! I lost 4kgs and at least 16cm in the 21days. I think there might of been a little bit more if we didnt have such a hectic social weekend before my last week but these things happen and im certainly not going to lose any sleep over it….Onward and upward I say.

I have joined the Health Club and will look forward to losing about another 10kgs which I am optimistic about. I have never been a couch potatoe and keep myself active with excercise doing personal training 3x a week and walk at least 3 times a week but I know my weaknes was definatley certain foods and portion sizes! .

With doing the challege I have proven to myself that I dont need to be eating the large portions and the bad food (or should I say Conveinient food) as my body doesnt like them and doesnt respond well, which is great because I am actully enjoying the good things! Once again thanks alot for the great start I will look forward to the information through the Health Club and continue with my weight loss!

Cheers!.”

I have just finished week one of the 21daystochange programme and am down 2kg!

Haven’t found it too difficult, not a big carb eater anyhow.
Have found myself looking in the pantry and fridge from time to time, habit, not because I’m hungry!
Getting over that tho as I see the weight drop, the motivation increases!

Very happy, managed to avoid temptation but this weekend will be my challenge, away with the “girls”.
Will do my best to keep on track but won’t beat myself up if I stray a little.
Will take all my own food but we are eating out once. I will make wise choices with support of good friends.

Long walks on the beach will help with the weight too.

Thanks for a great programme.

I am in to my 3rd week and have lost 3 kg, I love the program and I love the palm portion sizes and will definatly use it in the future. I have learnt so much from the program. I wish I have found it years ago.I have tried other diets in the past after having babies and nothing compares to this.

After 21 Days I feel lighter, brighter, clean & clear.

I work crazy, inconsistent hours and my job can be quite physical at times. At first I was worried that I wouldn’t last the day on this plan but it was fine and I was surprised by how much energy I had. If I ever felt hungry or tired it was usually because I hadn’t eating the proper portions and hadn’t had enough protein.

The key was to plan ahead and make sure I had everything I needed to make the meals so there were no excuses.

The 21 Day Challenge made me aware of what I was eating and more importantly what I wasn’t eating. While I was eating a lot-the stuff I was eating was empty food. I was really missing out on a lot of nutrients and now I know why I was always hungry and tired.

I love how I feel- I managed to keep the weight off 2 months after completing the 21 Day Challenge by keeping in mind my body’s need for whole foods when I choose meals. I had to go buy new jeans last week because the old ones keep falling down- its a pretty special moment when you’re trying on new clothes and realise that you haven’t just lost one size but 2!! I can’t wait to start the 112 day challenge!

I am really keen to start the 112 day challenge as soon as possible.

Thanks”

Hi guys,

I’ve struggled with my weight all my life (I’m 42 years old), buying every diet, trying every form of exercise and inflicting upon myself all the guilt and health problems associated with yo-yo dieting.

I swore I wouldn’t spend anymore money on another promise of weight loss,

but I always give in, and it was in that frame of mind that I bought your

21 day program. Ah, the promise of substantial weight loss in only 21 days – you had me at hello. In my wildest dreams, I looked at that magic

number of 7 kilos, but in my heart of hearts I knew it was exactly that –

a dream.

Well, I’m on day 20 today and I’ve lost 7.2 kilos and I feel a million dollars. I’m wearing clothes I haven’t fitted into for years, my skin looks great and I’m suffering no loss of energy – in fact, quite the opposite.

But more than anything, I am free of cravings and food no longer dominates my thoughts. To say that this diet has been an eye opener is an under statement. I think it may actually be life changing, and definitely the best money I’ve spent for a very long time.

I don’t know if I can go back to eating the way I was, and I’ve ditched all the low fat products in the fridge and cupboards, and committed to just eating good, whole foods.

So, thank you. Really – thank you!

Kindest regards, “

Hi guys! Just finished my first day of Blitz and was doing some meal planning and remembered about a favourite BBQ chicken recipe I have to give Donna Hay credit for:

Thoroughly coat chicken breast (skin and fat removed) with cinnamon and cumin spice powder. BBQ or pan-fry over medium/low heat till cooked through- any hotter temperature and it will burn the spices. . It should be dark in colour and fairly crispy but not burnt.

It tastes fantastic without the BBQ sauce calories. Yummy!”

Hi, I have completed my 21 days and one week on slowly intoducing things into my diet, I loved this programme, I don’t think I’ve ever in my life had a flat tummy even though I’ve always been relatively slim and exercised, I’ve lost between 4-5 kgs and It has come off all the places I wanted and I love not being bloated, I know that was the milk now, I used to often get the sugar shakes and feel hungry all the time but not on this programme and my hormones seem to have calmed down too and I sleep much better, I got the palm method dvd so with fruit and veg am I allowed any or is there still some to avoid? also I noticed pork wasn’t mentioned, is that not a good protien?

Thanks heaps I feel awesome!”

My partner has been following the 112 day challenge way of eating since I started my challenge in April this year. He thought there was no sense in 2 different meals being cooked and he wanted to eat healthily too.

He’s just had his yearly blood tests checkup. He has gone from being ‘pre-diabetic’ to excellent blood sugars and his cholesterol is now excellent too. Very happy. Very happy also that he has lost over 8 kilos, and 6.5 cm off his waist, and is now weighing lighter than he can remember ever weighing and feeling and looking terrific.”

I’ve lost 1 ½ inch off waist and butt and ½ off each thigh, Raving about this to so many people, thankyou heaps.

Now just wondering where to from here, I have the Palm method dvd which is good does this mean I can introduce all veg now? I like mushrooms and beans for instance which weren’t on the 21 day challenge or is there any restictions on which veg and fruit you have? Thanks for everything, .”

Slim You Slim You

I had weighed 79kg for many years, which was still overweight but I thought I didn’t look too bad. Then in 2008 when I went through a separation, I noticed an increase in my appetite. I was constantly ravenous and started getting hot flushes, I suspected I was going through menopause. My mum went through it at the same age, I was 34. So I went to see my doctor who thought I was too young to be going through menopause sent me for testing anyway. My doctor was shocked to let me know that I had already already in the peri-menopausal phase, but by this stage I had put 20kg on top of the already overweight 79kg in just a few months.

I tried to control my eating, make better choices, but because I became hungry very quickly I would eat anything that was readily available and so when I reached 99kg I thought I have to take greater action. I tried eating 6 meals a day but again my food choices failed me. I had to learn to cut out carbs and it was so difficult. I remembered how I managed to lose weight several years ago and decided to leave the unhealthy carbohydrates out of my eating plan. That was in December 2010. Before I started on the 21 Day Challenge I weighed 89kg. I felt I had done well but knew there were areas in my diet I could improve on and plateaued in my weight loss. I would follow my eating plan all week but when it came to the weekends I would have absolutely no self control, so I would spend the next week trying to compensate for the weekend. When I saw the 21 Day Challenge I thought its only for 3 weekends so when our mates come round I just not have a glass of wine and lay off the junk food… only 3 weekends!!!

The first week on the 21 Day Challenge I went from 89.7kg to 87.1kg. I was amazed!!! I make a vegetable fritatta everyday, they’re delicious and I dont have think about what I’m going to eat that is within the plan, its all pre-done! I have tablespoon of nuts for morning tea and an apple for an afternoon snack. Sometimes when I’m still hungry after eating, I just have another slice of fritatta. I also switch it up sometimes for dinner, I may have salmon with broccoli and pumpkin or perhaps chicken with mixed veggies, but I also watch my portions.

I wish to say thank you so much for teaching me how to lose weight in a healthy way. I’ve tried so many other eating plans, some do work but the transition was extreme. The challenge has been great for me because I eat proper food and as long as I can prepare my meals in advance, I will stay on track.

Kind regards

Melissa

Hi, I am on day 10 and so far I have lost 3.9kg. Although it is a challenge, I am amazed at how easy the programme is to stick to. I had no idea I love feta cheese, and that I can live without bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. I still crave sweet things, even though I am not hungry, and struggle daily without my favourite Milo. I don’t drink tea or coffee so Milo was it! I am really changing the way I think about our family meals and we have saved at least the cost of the body blitz in groceries this week just by not buying processed foods. Who said it was more expensive to eat healthy? Thanks for the downloads and emails, they are really helpful.

Hi Damian and Phyllis,
firstly I want to say thank you for such an amazing and effective program! I was able to achieve incredible results by following the 21 day Body Blitz Challenge. In late July I was diagnosed with dangerously high blood pressure as a result of unhealthy lifestyle habits consisting mainly of being overweight (topping 100kgs), bad food, alcohol, and running myself into the ground. Following Damian’s advice, I started following the program. After about 3 to 5 days of eating the recipe’s and exercising as prescribed, I started to feel much better, with LOADS more energy! Within the first week, I lost 4 kg’s which really inspired me to keep going. By the end of the 21 day program I lost 12 kg’s!! and feel 10 years younger! My blood pressure has dropped from 190/100 to 147/70!

After finishing the program I have continued to make healthy food choices with Damian’s help!)and kept up an exercise regime have lost another 3kgs!! Thank you so much guys for the amazing program and fantastic support! I couldn’t have done it without you!!

Hi Guys

Just wanted to touch base and let you know how I’ve done with the 21 day program

I started on the 1st of August and found the program easy to follow and was very filling. Using the principals of the hand for each meal just made it so simple to follow.

Well after the 3 weeks I had lost 4.7kgs in weight and better still, have had my appetite for exercise awakened. I now walk every weekday morning for an hour. I’ve not lost much more weight (currently sitting at 70) but the selft esteem and pride is through the roof. I have also added some good carbs to my day.

Thanks so much for showing me a simple way to eat, that is not really a diet but a sustainable way of life.

Yours sincerely

Hi Damian,

I’m on Day 9 of the Challenge. I have been trying to get back under 60 kg for nearly the past year and I have eventually made it!!! My weight has been varying between 60.5-63kg for the last 12 months and I have tried dieting, mainly through the new WeightWatchers program. I don’t have much to loose only around 5-6kg but I haven’t been able to shift it until now…..

I know that you shouldn’t weight yourself every day, but I just can’t resist with this diet. Everytime I jump on the scales in the morning I have lost more weight! This morning I made it down to 59.4kg!!!! I am SO HAPPY!!!

The weight loss had been steady, around 3-400g per day. Thanks so much for the program! I will more than happy to send some before and after photos when I’ve finished. I hope that the progress continues to be steady to reach my goal of 55kg!

Thank you very much!

Dear Damian and Phyllis,

I just want to share my 21 day challenge and beyond. I returned from living in Belfast, Northern Ireland in July 2010 more than 2 1/2 stone heavier than when I left New Zealand 18 months earlier. I ran into a friend who had completed the 112 day challenge and he looked amazing! After Christmas I was really sick of the way I looked and both my husband and I felt really unwell, we were desperate.

The doctor diagnosed me as having high cholesterol of 6.8 and my husband as being borderline pre diabetic. Our income is on the lower end of the scale so I purchased the 21 day challenge. I weighed 86.8 kg at the beginning of the challenge and lost 7 kg by the end of it. Now 12 weeks later I have lost 2 stone by just increasing the foods I believe my body needs to fuel it. My husband has always been a big lad at 6 ft 4, and we don’t really know how much he has lost as only recently he began registering on the scales (150kg limit).

But he has had to pack away all the 5XL shirts and is now wearing 3XL. We are both dieters from way back but the way we eat now is so simple using the palm and hand method. Best investment I ever made in those 21 days! Regards

I lost 6kg in 21 days and could have lost even more if I had added in exercise. Ifound I was eating more on the detox than I would usually. After two days all my cravings had disappeared and I found I wasn’t getting in a ‘frenzy’ around mealtimes. I no longer had issues with belching, wind, bloating, and acid reflux. I received so many comments from people saying how healthy my skin looked.

The detox was a great way to start the New Year. After the first week I took magnesium oxide for a few days. I would highly recommend taking this as for me I felt like I had been given a fresh start and was

clean

inside and out 🙂

I highly recommend the program, it is completely safe and there are no gimmicks. You eat natural healthy foods; I even discovered some new foods I hadn’t tried before and now include these in my daily diet.

I’ve just completed day 11 of the challenge and I’m loving it. On completion of day 7 I weighed in 3Kg lighter. Yippee.

I’ve found the eating plan so easy to follow. I’m being completely unadventurous as I’m focussed on it only being 21 days. I’m interested in the 112 day challenge so must read up about it and see if it is for me.

Thanks Damian and Phyllis for a great program and very inspirational encouragement.

Thanks Phyllis.

Maybe I am in the

honeymoon

stage… but this is great. Its easy to follow… doesn’t feel like a diet (and I don’t really perceive it to be one (probably because of the lack of counting etc) and I’ve lost 1.5kgs already… Now I am sure this won’t continue at such a rate, but its a great boost.

Thanks Again Nikki

Hi Damian and Phyllis, Just a quick note to let you know that the 21 day challenge is great!

I started the challenge during study break and it did make essay writing an extra challenge without being able to snack on junk! I’m two weeks into it and not that my main aim was weight loss but I’ve lost 2cm off each thigh and 3cm off my waist. My main aim was to feel happier and healthier inside and have more energy, all of which have definitely been achieved. It has also changed my view on junk food that no longer appeals at all!

So I just wanted to say Thanks!

Hi guys,It’s great to see everyone is doing so well. I am doing the challenge this month for the second time; I did the first challenge b4 Christmas. I had great success in the first challenge, although in the 3rd week, I only lost 0.8kg because I was at my parents’ house for that week of the holidays and despite best intentions, and taking my own food, I was not in complete control of my own meals and found it difficult. So after I got back home, I did the last week again (which would have been week 5) and in total for my 3 weeks I lost 8-9 kilos. (I like to say 9, but my weight fluctuates daily.) (You can see by the total weight loss, why I knew that .8kg in one week wasn’t on par with the earlier 2 weeks.)

Now I am doing it for the 2nd time and I am on day 3 and I have hit the 60′s! Meaning I am no longer 70 point something kgs, I am below 70! Woot! I love this diet, it is healthy, energising and it works. I am never going to be above 70kg again. I grew up skinny and believe it or not used to take weight gain protein powder, as a young adult to try and gain weight because of how skinny I was. Once I got ill, over time I gained and gained and then it got out of control. Once I reached a tipping point, nothing I did could get rid of the weight. My doctor diagnosed me with polycystic ovaries (among other things) and said that in that condition, my body likes to be overweight and tries to keep me that way. I have been trying to lose weight for the last 3 years, and when I tried this and actually had some results and the fat came of so fast I was so impressed. I have a ‘doo’ in 3 weeks and am hoping to wear a dress that I last wore on my 25th birthday. (I turn 35 soon).

I write this because I want to encourage people to really stick to the diet and really believe in themselves. I am not a confident person and my weight and illnesses have made me even less confident, but I think I have had such success on this diet, that I want people who have been or are like me, to really understand that things can get better. Although as I write about how good I am doing it feels like bragging. And I totally understand that many people are fighting a weight gain much higher than my own.

I found that I lost quite a significant amount in the first few days and I put that towards the complete removal of salt. (I love salt) This time around I haven’t done the gut prep stuff, because I haven’t been eating bad in the interim since the last time I did the diet and I don’t think I need too. (I hope that’s right).

I also found once not on the diet that breads and cereals don’t work very well with me, they make me lethargic and upset in the tummy. Something I never noticed before, so I think I may have an intolerance, therefore I steer clear of them 95% of the time.

Thank you so much Damian and Phyllis! and Phyllis I’m sorry I didn’t get back to you on your email back in January!

Start Weight before Christmas 79.9kgs today’s weight 69.8kgs. And this is the most impressive part, 16cms of my stomach, (yes that’s right 16cms!) and 6cms of each of my thighs.

Oh and I actually go to the beach and ‘run’ (only a little bit with walking in between, because I’m totally unfit, but I haven’t ‘run’ since I was about 18.

I would do a before and after photo, but quite frankly I’ve avoided the camera for 3 years. Although I could show my awful, awful passport photo!

Cheers Everyone!

Hi there Damian and Phyllis, This is day five of the 21 day challenge and I just wanted to share the fact,

I’ve already lost 2.6kg. My clothes feel better around the waist and Idefinitely feel a bit brighter.I never thought I’d be able to live without bread! Proudest accomplishment to-date … surviving dinner out for a mate’s 40th. Ordered a grilled chicken salad, avoided the starters and said no to the birthday brownie and booze. Drank soda water with a couple of slices of lemon and still had a great time. I focused on the company rather than the food.

Thanks for the great programme, it’s the kick up the bum I needed. I’d given up watching what I ate. Am now back in the driving seat and I think that’s very empowering in it’s self.

So far I have lost 2kgs and am hoping for another kg tomorrow when I weigh myself! I have not been under 72.3kgs in a probably 3 years but a week ago when I weighed myself I was 72! I do karate for exercise (plus I love it) and train about 4 – 5 hrs a week – although not all strenuous – is this enough or should I be doing more? I do walk every day but not much – probably 20 minutes.
