Hi. I did leave a question a couple of days ago but can’t see the reply so I’m hoping this one is answered.
Firstly, I asked via Haylee where to get Crunchy Bean Combo & Avocado & Macadamia Oil. I live in the UK, not Australia. Any ideas? If not, how do I make it? Also, until starting the diet I had a bowel movement everyday (have done since I received treatment for digestive system, didn’t before this). Now I feel I’m back to where I was before the treatment as I haven’t had a movement in two days. Not keen on taking Colon Cleaners as I’ve taken loads over the years and would like to get off things like this. Also, not sure if connected to the diet but my face, neck and arms keep going red, like when you’re embarrassed but don’t feel I am. Lastly, I noticed on the net that you did a seminar on aspartame. I was drinking a lot of diet lemonade, for years, is there anything I can do to get it out of my system?

I’ve watched Downsize Me for years, you’re both fantastic.

    Thanks

    1. damian

      HI there Catherine.

Crunchy bean combo is found in your grocery store or supermarket where you might find other sprouts. Macadamia oil is definitely found in the UK as we have others using it. Fine food grocers may have it. I will find out for you. Alternatively you could use coconut oil for cooking and olive oil on your salads. The Colon Clear is a great safe supplement – you can pick up some magnesium oxide powder from your health food store and use this every other day. The aspartame is a chemical that will be removed out of your system over time. Healthy diet, fish oil and regular bowel movements are essential to aid this process.

The red neck and face issue may be detoxification? it may be hormonal flushing? It may be worth having your health practitioner look at this.

    1. damian

Hi there Skinime – We generally don’t recommend breastfeeding mums don’t do the program as when you lose fat as fast as what you can on this program quite a lot of detoxification can take place and this may be released through breast milk. All herbal teas are allowed πŸ™‚

  2. Diana Marks

Hi there. I’m not sure where to ask this question. I’ve done the 21 days and now have received the palm method DVD. Avocados are everywhere at the moment and I love them. I saw in the 21 days programme that where you included them it was a 1/4 at a time. You have them listed as a vegetable but I’m worried to eat more than 1/4 at once in case they are also a fat. So they go off before I manage to finish one.

  3. rd-jd

    Hi,

I have just received your 21day plan. My question is. I do not eat fish of any type, is there a different meat i can have.

    1. damian

Hi there rd-jd – you don’t have to have fish – you could substitute it for another protein source if you like. πŸ™‚

  4. leanne123

I am in day 4 of the body blitz and have already dropped 1.5kgs. I haven’t hit the target zone on the ketostix yet, should I be concerned?

    1. damian

Hi there Leanne123 – you don’t need to worry about ketosis πŸ™‚ the program isn’t designed to take you into ketosis. The stix are there as a safety guide to ensure that you stay well and you aren’t burning fat too fast. Damian

  5. Linda

    Hi
I am on day 4 of the program and did the colon cleanse for the first time last night. This morning i have developed a rash over my face on the cheeks and chin. Is this a symptom of detoxing the body? It is quite itchy and very blotchy.
    thanks
    Linda

    1. damian

HI there Linda – that is strange! have you still got it? Are you eating anything that you wouldn’t normally eat?

  6. Flo

    Greetings Damian
Two questions: Is Mg Lax ok to use instead of Colon Clear as it contains Magnesium oxide – 400mg per capsule? And the boccini – what could I use instead of that as I can’t find it in the local supermarkets?
    Thanks
    Flo

    1. damian

      HI there Flo,

The Mg Lax could be ok. as i am not familiar with the product i can’t really comment on the effectiveness of it. You can get Colon Clear online from our store in Christchurch – we can deliver next day for you. Damian

  7. jthomson

    Hi

I have just purchased the 21 day Body Blitz, i am 126 kgs and need a kick start. I’m wondering if I can change few meats and veges around in Meal Planner,
I hate Celery, Feta, and Balsamic vinegar. And what are Boccioni cheese balls? i also don’t eat fish or Lamb i love chicken and Steak.
I just want to organize my food planner so i have no excuses.
I know if u enjoy your meals its not a diet, just a healty eating programme.

    thanks
    newbe Jthomson

    1. damian

      HI there JT,

you can play with the meal plan as much as you like. it is best to try to keep it as un changed as possible, however i agree – you should always eat what you like. Boccincini balls are buffalo cheese – you will find them in the deli at the supermarket. Try some new foods on for size you could be pleasantly surprised. πŸ™‚ Damian

  8. Colleen Savage

    Hi Damian
Your programme that you have designed is great- i feel better, don’t feel bloated. I am on day 8 at the moment and have followed the programme 99% of the time in the last week, however I have only lost 1kg. I am using a womens multivitamin and am using Blackmores Omega 3 and NFS Magnesium Ultra. I’m hoping to lose about 8kg all up. Is there anything else I should/ shouldn’t be doing? Another thing is I am mostly vegetarian but have been eating the chicken and fish, would that make a difference? Thanks and keep up all your good work.

    1. damian

HI there Colleen, 1 kg in 8 days is OK, you may be better to eat less chicken and more fish if you can. Eggs are great. trhis could help. you nutrition sounds ok. the colon clear could help you by moving more from your bowels. πŸ™‚

  9. dori

    Hi there,
I have ordered online the WBC breakfast.
What do I eat this with?
    Is yoghurt and fruit ok?
Or should I try the Rice milk?
And if so what portion. I have the palm method down pat but with cereal and milk Im a little lost.

    1. damian

      HI there Dori,

Unless WBC has changed its formula since i no longer own it or control its manufacture, you should choose about 40gms with 2 dessertspoons of yoghurt and some berries and about 100ml of rice milk. however. Its not on the 21 days to change body blitz program.

  10. Karen Blade

    Hi Damian and Phyllis

I am finely going to get started on the 21 day challenge.
As i don’t eat capsicum what can I substitute them for and I am also not that fond of celery, can I use asparagus.
One more thing what are bocini cheese balls
Thanks for getting back to me
    Regards

    1. damian

HI there Karen, sorry for the delay – Boccincini balls are a type of cheese πŸ™‚ they are YUM. you can definitely substitute those veggies πŸ˜‰

  11. ange.johnson

I have just lownloaded the 21 day blitz which I am looking forward to getting stuck into. I have slightly increased cholestral level and am just checking that the amount of eggs (16 in total if you count a portion of frittata) per week are going to be ok? i am fully aware that the have great sustaining power but it seems like a lot?

    Would appreciate your advice
    Cheers

  12. Kate Barrah

    Hi Damian

I am about to commence the 21 day challenge. I am intolerant to dairy food and would prefer to not eat cheese. Can I leave this out? Also, I don’t eat avocado and prefer to leave this out. Will this be ok?

    Thanks.

    1. damian

Hi there Kate – you can absolutely leave out the dairy. you should try to love avocado – it is your friend! you can leave it out and use other oils and fruits for sure.

  13. sallyc

    Hello

Today i am starting 21 day chanllenge which i am looking forward to. I have a couple of questions. Should i just follow the Summer meal planner and rotate every 7 days? Or after the 7 days start creativing my own mix of protien, veges & fats?

Over the 21 days do I introduce potatoes or rice at any time?

    Thanks

    Sally

    1. damian

Hi there Sally πŸ™‚ you are spot on – rotate your meals around and work out what you like. Rice and Potato’s aren’t included in the next 21 days πŸ™‚

  14. Leander McLaren-Smith

What can I subsitute the fish and salmon for?

Also if I can’t get boccini what other cheese could I use?

    1. damian

You should be able to get boccincini balls from any new world in NZ

you can use any other protein that you like to replace the fish and salmon.

  15. Tracey_1966

Hi there, I have just bought the 21 day programme this evening and am reading up on everything. Just wondering if I can boost the morning and afternoon snacks at all? I can’t see me lasting too long on a few nuts sorry, especially to start off with!!! Also, once I’ve tried a few different meal options out, is it okay to stick to a few favourites? Cheers.

    1. damian

Hi there Tracey – give it a go – thousand of others have done this before you and have done amazing things. try it and see what happens. its probably habit for you to eat between meals – not need.

  16. Suzanne Little

    Hi Damien and Phyllis,

Have just signed up and very excited to get a kick start to health. Not sure where to locate the Mike Catton download on the website. Must be blind?

    1. damian

Hi there Suzzane – the Mike Catton Call had to be taken down as Mike made mention of things in the call that were not in line with what we have promoted or spoken about in this program. it caught us unaware too. sorry for the confusion.

  17. leilanib

Help – I am in my 1st week of the 21 day challenge and I am struggling as I am getting really tired at about 3- 4pm every day whilst at work to the point I just about fall asleep at my desk. I have done the weekend and did not feel the tiredness but did change the times I ate- I made it later – and I cheated by eating a bread roll one day – some chips and crackers and a bit of pasta on the second so I really strayed but found I didnt seem tired – can you help me to get through the 2nd week and cope with the tiredness?

    1. damian

Hi there leilanib – i suggest you start again and stay the course – don’t deviate. only eat the food on the list and don’t give in to foods that were your crutch in the past.

  18. Mary Dowdall

Hi Damien, I have just received your diet but I am allergic to eggs. What could I eat instead. I would love to get started on it. Thanks

  19. levans

    Hi
I am on Day 7 of 21 day Blitz and so far have released 2kg. My bowel seem very loose and going up to 6 times a day. This is an issue if I am not close to Loo. Do you think this is from too much fibre?or just detox? Also I wake in night with cramp in my legs, I am taking 2 Mag Complex 500g from Marshalls Health in CHCH.
    Thanks Lesley

    1. damian

hi there Lesley – your bowels are an issue – this is the reason probably that you are getting cramps… you may be losing too many electrolytes. Please hold back on the lactose (cheese) or onion/garlic or both until your bowels settle. i would recommend keeping on your magnesium supplement – it will help you.

  20. Dee

    Hi Damian,
Are there any other protein options for vegetarians (such as tofu)? Or do you have any good recipe suggestions for vegetarians other than omlette/fritatta/salad?
    Thanks, Dee.

    1. damian

Hi there Dee, beans and quinoa with nuts stirred through as a stir fry is awesome or lentils and brown rice as a dahl or curry is beautiful. Salads with baked veggies and boccincini cheese or crumbled feta is a great meal.

  21. Leanne Ashby

    Hi there

I have just purchased the 21 day challenge, and am trying to organise things prior to starting. I am vegetarian and would like to know what other protein options I have to choose from other than cheese, dairy and eggs. I wasn’t sure if I should increase the amount of eggs, given there are a few consumed over the course of the summer meal planner. Also, is tofu allowed, or is this considered too processed?

    Thanks

    1. damian

HI there Leanne – tofu is a good source of vegetarian protein – albeit it is very processed. i’d much prefer bean and quinoa or lentils and brown rice as your ideal combo.

    1. damian

Hi there Lena – because this programme results in such rapid weight loss we ask that you eat a bit more (about 10-20% more) to slow the weight loss down when you are breast feeding. We don’t generally recommend that you do this program when breast feeding though. πŸ™‚

      1. Lena Ripley

        Hi Damian
That’s cool I thought that would be the case. I will start the program once I finished breast feeding it will be a good kick start.
        Thanks,
        Lena

  22. Glenda Barnes

    HI Damian,
Im so excited about doing the 21days program…will be starting asap!
Just wondering if its ok to drink carbonated water – (soda water) as part of the water quantity for each day? Thanks!

  23. Sarah Lown

    Hi Damian,
I’ve just bought your 21day diet and am starting it tomorrow. Is there anything else protein-wise I can have with the eggs in the morning? As I tend to get a bit of a closed throat if I eeg more than 1 egg in a sitting.
    Sarah

    1. damian

Hi there Sarah, sorry for the delay. You could try any of the meals for your protein serve in the morning. Fish, steak or chicken… If you need to you could have berries and yoghurt with LSA for breaky, this is a great healthy start to the day.

      Damian

      1. Sarah Lown

        Hi Damian,
Am I allowed milk? I don’t drink coffee or tea so just want to know if it’s ok to drink a glass of milk once a day?
The other thing is, are there any good recipes that I could access?
        Thankx Sarah πŸ™‚

        1. damian

HI there Sarah, there is no need to drink a glass of milk if you are trying to get well and healthy. please if you can stick to water or some lemon or lime squeezed into your water for flavour. There are a HEAP of recipes coming in the coming days for you. Have you been sticking to the meal planner?

  24. sarah

    Hi
I have just joined the program but I do not want to start until the 1st January. Im not sure if thats ok or will it expire?

  25. NaomiLasenby

Hi, I have ordered the colon clear and the uroplex for my flatmate that is supporting me by doing the 21 day challenge with me; and I was just wondering how long the shipping will take. I ordered it yesterday (19th) and live in NZ. Thanks for having an excellent program, it’s working really well.

    1. damian

Hi there Naomi, have you received the products yet? I know there were delays because of the earthquakes, we are based in Christchurch.

      Damian

      1. NaomiLasenby

Not yet, but I guess if I give it a couple of days for the bulk of the Christmas rush to get sorted. Will tell you when they turn up. Thanks heaps.

  26. Carmel Pobar

Just wondering if the colozone which the program recommends to take is the same as the colon clear product you sell on the products page?? As finding it really hard to find colozone in any health food stores!
    Thanks

    1. damian

HI there Carmel – yeah it is similar – both are made from 100% Magnesium Oxide. thank you for the question.

  27. Karin

    Hi

just getting myself organised to start the 21 days!! Couple of questions, I’m not a yoghurt fan but have made my own in the past (easiyo) can I still do this? and, can I have the tinned chop chop chicken?
    thanks heaps
    Karin

    1. damian

Hi there Karin – please don’t eat Tinned chicken… you can definitely you can have the natural easy yo yoghurt. πŸ™‚

  28. Sue Chidgey

Hi, I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the program. On the shopping list eggs are listed. I don’t eat eggs unless I don’t know they are in my food. Do you have something I can substitute eggs with?

    Thanks
    Sue

    1. damian

HI there Sue, there is nothing to substitute the eggs with – but ALL of the meals in the planner are interchangeable for breakfast lunch and dinner πŸ™‚

  29. Hylton Southon

Hi can you tell me whether one could occasionally (as in 1 feed per day which is the evening feed) breastfeed while carrying out the 21 day challenge as my son is on Formula however from time to time I breastfeed in the evenings for a few minutes.

    Thanks

  30. kirstinhine

    Hi Damian,

I’m not a coffee drinker but have 2-4 cups of green tea per day. Is this ok on the Blitz? I know herbal teas are ok, but green tea has caffeine which seems to be a no-no on the blitz.

Plus, I know you say no alcohol in the first week, (and preferably for the whole 21 days), but after the first week, how much red wine could be safely consumed without affecting the results? I would like to lose 3-5kg’s in total.

    Thanks for your help!
    πŸ™‚
    Kirstin

    1. damian

HI there Kirstin – 2-4 green teas is the same as 2-4 coffee’s in terms of adrenal stimulation. be a bit careful. i’d suggest no alcohol for the whole 21 days. all alcohol will affect the results – πŸ™‚

  31. Karen Weatherall

Hi, I am just about to start the 21 day program and I am trying to work out meals. Can you only have the vege’s and meat on the lists as I notice people talking about Kumera and Peanut butter, aspargus etc plus the receipes have things not on the lists such as coconut milk in a curry and these are not on the lists. Also what would you suggest for breakfast as I do not eat eggs? How do you sign up for the emails as I would like more receipes. Thanks Karen

    1. Karen Weatherall

Hi, I still have not had a answer to my questions and I’m now on day four. Also can you have fruit as snacks if hungry? How do you make Frittata receipe as in summer menu? Can you eat corn? Thanks

      1. damian

HI there Karen – Please accept my apologies for the delay – its been way too long. I am sorry. You can have some fruit for snacks. this can be very effective. however, it may slow your fat loss. The Fritata recipe is easy to cook up. i like to cook up the veggies first and then put them in a dish, beat the eggs and pour them over the top and then bake it for 45 mins. Its awesome with a great salad. πŸ™‚

        Avoid corn if you can.

  32. Karin

Hi, have just started (day 2)! can I have fruit for a snack, eg apple at morning tea,a/noon tea etc? Also, hubby not keen on the salad, if I make a broccoli and carrot coleslaw, what dressing could I put on it? I think he is missing his tomato sauce on everything LOL!

  33. Debbie Board

    Hi there,
I am about to start the 21 day but I see in the daily meals a lot of fish and I am highly alergic to all fish and sea food, what can I swap fish for?

  34. sharontoi

    Hi,
I’m allergic to raw nuts, particularly cashews and walnuts. Can u suggest anything else for snacks?

      1. sharontoi

        Thanks Damian,

They’re working a treat. Day 12 – 3.8kg loss. I was quite fatigued last week but am picking up again – feeling great! Question: I’m doing some tri’s in the next couple of months. Can I introduce carbs to a couple of meals ie. night before, and morning?
BTW, I am so enjoying this way of eating. I am doing the winter menu this week, will go back to summer next week – bit of a change up.
        cheers
        Sharon

        1. damian

hi there Sharon – you can eat this way all the time if you like. heaps of people do and feel great doing it. if you are doing sprint tri’s you won’t need to add carbs… only olympic and iron man will you need to do that.

  35. manu tilialo

    hi damien,
i have just purchased the body blitz and am excited too start and scared at the same time, ah im obese but i just gave birth 4months ago i am weighing at 183, im currently breastfeeding…do i need to modify the system im following due to breastfeeding?? please either give me a solution or alternatives i can follow??
i will be starting tomorrow πŸ˜€

    1. damian

hi there Manu – nah just go for it – it will be awesome for you! perhaps consider the 112 Day Challenge when you are done with your first 21 days.

  36. pamolds

    Hi Damian
I am about to start the 21 day challenge. I have two questions:

Firstly I am 128kg and am recovering from a broken ankle. I am unable to walk very far at the moment (about 5 minutes is my limit at the moment as I am limping badly and my ankle gets very sore). Can you recommend another exercise for me please?

Also I worked out that I need 4.5 litres of water a day. I drink a heap of water (about 3 litres a day anyway, but am not sure I can manage to drink that amount. I think I will be on the loo all day. Any comments?

Looking forward to finding the real me again.
    Cheers Pam

    1. damian

Hi there Pam – Swimming and cycling would be great for you i suspect. aim for 3.5litres and see how you go πŸ™‚ add some himalayan rock salt to your meals if you need to drink that much water.

  37. Melissa Duffy

Also, if I roast or cook with oil, does this count as the oil I need to eat with each meal or should I add fresh oil once it is cooked?

  38. Louise Cook

I’m (sadly) Lactose intolerant, so dairy products aren’t an option for me in the meal plans. What alternatives should I use for yoghurt etc.?

    1. damian

Hi there Louise. Perhaps if you can’t have Yoghurt – use other meals from the planner. so for example instead of fruit and yoghurt – do the eggs. in place of cheese – add extra protein. πŸ™‚

  39. Jodine Hansen

    Hi there,
I can’t seem to download the MP3s – a blank page opens with nothing on it. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Jodine

    1. damian

HI there Jodine… thats strange. perhaps right click on the link and then click on “save linked file as” or it will say something like that and then save it to your computer.

  40. Lisa Osikai-Wilson

    Hi there

Day 1 for me !!!!!!! Nervous but excited !!!!!!!! Just checking to see if I can still have a cup of tea (Lady Grey) in the morning? I only have a splash of milk and no sugar in an extra large cup.
    Thanx Lisa πŸ™‚

  41. Evette McClure

    Hi There

I am just starting the 21day challenge and i have a couple of questions.

Can i have other fruit & vegies like bananas, plums, apricots, kiwifruits, beans, mushrooms & corn?

The yogurt…is Fresh n Fruity ones okay?

    Is hummus okay?

I also already have bowel biotics & Fish Oil (mercury tested) capsules. Will this be okay to use instead of what you have stated?

    Thanks

    1. damian

Dear Evette, its best to eat only the foods listed – this is what i have found over the years to really help people out with fat loss fast.

      Bananas – NO
      Plum – OK
      Apricots – OK
      Kiwifruit – OK
      Beans – green ones YES
      Mushrooms – YES
      Corn – NO

Fresh and fruity – NO – this needs to be a good quality yoghurt like Cyclops in NZ

Hommus with Carrot stick or Celery sticks – OK… it may slow you from your fat loss. but adding it to your meal – would be ok.

looks like you take great supplements πŸ™‚ the ones i have suggested work really well πŸ™‚

  42. pamolds

    Hi Damian.
I just watched the DVD The Palm Method which I purchased. It answered a lot of questions I have had (about the water question I submitted earlier) and also about the food pyramid. I have been trying weight watchers for years and always struggled with why the weight never really came off easily and permanently. yes I know a lot of it is unhealthy eating, but the grain thing and complex carbohydrates really gave me ‘food for thought’ and makes so much sense. I have found swimming to be a lot more gentle on my ankle so I hope that’s okay to the alternative of walking until my ankle recovers properly. Thanks Pam

  43. Nessa

Hi there, Im only on day 2 of the blitz but im struggling with tiredness. my work is quite physical and im struggling to keep up.

Any tips to curb the tiredness?
    am i allowed coffee?
also, can i eat fruit when i like? as fruit seems to help me get through the morning.

    1. damian

HI there Nessa, I reckon by now you will be through the fatigue. But if by chance you are still feeling the fatigue, which is certainly possible, add a bit of fruit and nuts to your diet between your meals. Perhaps 1/2 an apple or some slices of cantaloupe or watermelon with a small handful of nuts.

you could have a coffee if you like… it may be ok for you, but its best to try to get through fatigue without the drug hit πŸ™‚

      1. Nessa

        Hi Damian,
Ive finished the 21 days, and wondering how long i should leave it before i start it again…???
i lost a good 6kgs, but have started eating some bad foods this week along with various occasions attended/coming up, and its set me back a bit so i would like to start it again.

        1. damian

HI there Nessa… you could start it immediately if you wanted. 21 days is a great kick off, and it is fine to eat this way. its better to use a longer term approach though like the 112 Day Challenge. Damian

  44. Ali Goodman

I hope this is the correct place to post questions.

    1. What is Crunchy bean combo/mung bean sprouts? Is it just bean sprouts and mung beans?

2.I can’t find boccini cheese balls in the deli or supermarket. What are they and can I buy or make them? What size is each ball?

    3. What is Persian feta? I haven’t found any in the deli supermarket. Is normal cows feta ok?

2.What kind of nuts are best? Please define a few.

    4. On the menu planner – dinner on the first night it mentions tomato, boccincini, cheese and 3 eggs. are you referring to boccinicini cheese or boccinicini AND another kind of cheese. Also how much of each please?

    5. Where do the three different fruits on the shopping list come in? I can’t find them on the meal planner.

Thanks for all the info. I am starting tomorrow and am very very excited and determined to do very well. Then on to the 112 day challenge.

    1. damian

crunchy bean combo in the sprouts section
Bocincini balls in the deli/cheese area – they are in brine
      any feta is fine
uses the nuts from your food list πŸ™‚
follow the palm method with your meal planning πŸ™‚ its the safest way to go.
you can add the fruits to your salads or have them in the morning with yoghurt and LSA if you like

  45. Eileen Oliver-Free

    Hi there,
I see comments about recipes being emailed to people – I have just started the 21 day challenge and there are not many recipes on this website – am I looking in the right place?
    Cheers,
    Eileen

    Hi Damian,
I’m on day 5 of the challenge and am due to play three games of indoor Netball next Saturday afternoon. I’m concerned I won’t have sufficient energy with just a half a handful of nuts (as I could be running for two hours!). I have noticed that exercise seems harder since I’ve been on the challenge. Is this common and what do you recommend regarding food for next Saturday afternoon please?

    Many thanks : )

  47. desireeha

Hi, I am up to day 13 of the 21 day program and havent received any emails at all since I purchased the program. Could you please look into it for me. Thanks

  48. Victoria Harvey-Hancox

OK, I’ve been on the Body Blitz programme for 18 days and I feel great. I’ve lost 4 kgs (probably could have lost more if I had avoided the red wine!). I’m 35, pretty fit but weigh 70kgs (I would blame post-baby fat but he’s 5 years old now!), I want to get down to 60kgs at least. I’m scared of finishing this programme and slipping back. I’m interested in doing the 112 day challenge but really want to know how much it will be roughly. Also, how often can I do the 21 day challenge – could I extend it?
    So many questions!!
    Thanks

    Vicky

    Hi Damian
I am about to start the 21 day Challenge and have spent the last two weeks getting rid of all the processed foods I have in the pantry and cupboards…. I like to think I am a good cook, but didn’t realise how lazy I had become… anyway I have several questions.

    1. My husband is supporting me in this challenge by doing it with me and he is worried that the Magnesium Oxide will give him the ‘runs’ when he’s at work. He has bloating and wind and goes a lot anyway so is it safe for him to use?

    2. In the Menu planner I am wondering where fruit comes into the equation apart from two breakfasts? Can we have a cup of fruit for a snack in the afternoon for instance? We like melons and blueberries etc and would be nice to have some fruit. Just not sure if we have the three meals and add the fruit in we will achieve all we need to.

    3. Can I make my own type of salad with the vegies on this list or should I follow this planned menu exactly. For instance we like chicken salad and add basil and coriander and mint for a change. Can I use any fresh herbs, chilli, ginger etc to marinate chicken in or does it have to be plain?

    4. Can I use the oil component of this plan to make a dressing with balsamic vinegar or herbs and lemon juice? And can I use the oil to say roast some pumpkin to put in a beetroot and pumpkin salad.

    5. I love eggs and have poached eggs for breakfast a lot. They do seem to make me have ‘mushy’ stools though. Is this normal…. I usually have them with toast?

    6. Can I use some of the recipes in the downsize me recipe book if they fit the food list?

I am sorry to ask so many questions, it’s just I am 128kg and this is my last resort to health as I am struggling so much so I really want to give it my best shot.

Wish me luck and please could you reply as soon as possible.

    Cheers Pam

    1. damian

      Hi there Pam, great questions!

the colon clear is safe for even children to use. provided they have a fully intact bowel. (i.e. no surgery on the bowel) your husband – should be all good with it.

you could have fruit if you like, but it is best to stick to the planner πŸ™‚

you can make your own meals you don’t have to stick to our plan at all – but yes please stick to the food lists πŸ™‚

i love the sound of your dressing – please do it!

poached eggs and mushy stools… have more salad with the meal.. does that make a difference?

i hope you are going well!

  50. Violet Foster

    Hi,

I purchased the body blitz program on the 18th of January and am still waiting for the recipe emails to come through. After looking through all the questions and comments, it seems I should start receiving them after 10 days of purchasing the program.

Could you please let me know a specific date when I should expect to see these emails.

    Kind regards
    Violet.

    1. damian

Violet, its unusual that you haven’t received emails at day 10… did you click on the activation email?

  51. KGJ

    Hi Damian

I have just finished the 21 days and lost a total of 2.4 kg – I lost 1.7 kg in the first week, 1.1 kg in the second, but then gained 0.4 kg in the last – I did nothing different (except I made a couple of the recipes from this website, but my portion sizes for those were correct), and have been exercising almost every day (pretty much 6 days out of every seven).

I *did* lose 4 cm from my waist (all within the first 2 weeks, too), though.

Any idea why I gained in the final week? And any advice on how to reintroduce carbs and keep losing weight (perhaps not necessarily as fast) until I reach my target (another 2.7 kg)?

    1. damian

      hi there KGJ,

well done on your weight loss! it sounds like it was easy to start and then it plateaued a bit. you should have received emails almost every day with more recipes. i am not sure why this didn’t happen, did you check your spam? with regards to plateauing, it may be due to other foods you are used to eating or perhaps how mcu fat you still have to get off. do you have much more to get off?

  52. Pam Naughton

Hi, I am about to start the 21 day blitz tomorrow, exciting. Just have a couple of questions, can you add seasoning to the chicken when cooking this, i.e., chicken flavouring or garlic salt or anyting like that. I do have himalyan rock salt. Also can you eat sugar free chewing gum, just wondering as I use this to curb sugar cravings sometimes. Cheers.

    1. damian

i there Pam, you like your flavours! πŸ™‚ try to do it with natural flavours like Himalayan rock slat if you need. or use herbs like rosemary, thyme and basil… πŸ™‚ its best to avoid ALL artificial sugars/sweeteners.

  53. Rachael Isaac-Kupenga

    Hi there,

I downloaded the Body Blitz Challenge and meal planners online, however I was under the impression something was going to arrive in the mail. Nothing has so assume not?

Also it wasn’t until reading the forums that I saw I’m supposed to be getting emails with recipes etc? I have not received any emails at all.

Finally, do you take the colozone/magnesium oxide powder in the first 4 days of the programme or is this in preparation for starting? Do youy take the lemon juice in water and uroplex throughout the program, or again just in preparation for starting?

    Many thanks

    1. damian

Hello Rachael, take the Mg Oxide for the first 4 days and then again on days that your bowels don’t move. you would have been receiving emails by now i suspect with recipes too. please let me know if this is not the case. Nothing will arrive in the mail as this is an online program and is fully downloadable πŸ™‚

      thank you.

      Damian

Hi day 18 wahoo have lost 4kg, pre 21 challegne i have had a Gluten and Lactose intolerance for 6years.By detoxing would i have made my intestine more sensitive? i had a small cut of pork and 1/2 a roast potato cooked in the roast fat and for 2 days have had a leaky gut? i’m also menopasal and have noticed the hot flushes have decreased alot. keen to look at 112 day challegne. have been recieving e mails each day but no recipes, any ideas? πŸ™‚

  55. Jane Millar

Hi, I am on day 12 of the blitz programme. the firt week I felt wonderfull and lost 3.1kg. But for thwe last three days I have had cravings for the food I used to eat and felt extremely tired and unmotivated. Today there was a morning tea shout and i gave in, although after a piece of cake and sausage roll I felt much better, my fuzzy head dissapeared and I did not seem so tired. I came to the conclusion that I was not eating enough. So I fell off the wagon, but am back on again eating a bit more than I was and hopefully start to have more energy than previously

    1. damian

Well done Jane! πŸ™‚ being a robot and 100% strict is a tough thing to do. if you do fall off the wagon, that is fine, just dust yourself off and get back up again πŸ™‚

  56. Alice Delore

    Hi there,

So glad I found this site! On day 1 today and really excited about the program πŸ™‚

    Two questions:

    1. How strict is the “1 handful” of vege/fruit per meal?

I know this is a intensive program, but usually you get free reign on negative calorie veges?

We love eating big salads. Any way we can bump it up, or are those portions critical to the diet’s effectiveness?

    2. We are having friends over for dinner on Wednesday.

I usually go all out for my guests but this time, I will have to get creative so that my fiance and I can stick to the diet.

I was thinking of maybe doing a green salad, grilled lamb/chicken and a vegetarian lasagne/vege bake as a side and the finace and I would just avoid the lasagne altogether?

So we would just have the meat a salad, as usual.

    Any other ideas?

    1. damian

      HI there Alice,

      Sorry for the delay.

Please stick strictly to the plan for just the 21 days. Its pretty important that you do this for the plan to work most effectively. regarding the dinner tonight. i presume you went well. the best approach would be to make a salad with some protein… you could make a lasagne but don’t use pasta sheets use kumara or eggplant instead…

      Damian

  57. Nicole Harrison

    Hi Damian,
Eating veges for brekky is not something we are coping with – can we do as an omelette and spray pan with olive oil?
I need measurements to visualise what I need – ‘a few nuts and seeds’ is how much please exactly? 1/2 a cup, a handful? And how much feta can we use each meal where noted? Also reduced fat feta or normal?
    Are feijoas ok to eat?
Poached Pear with blueberries and cinnamon stick is yummy! Esp if done night before as the flavours really soak in – is it ok to so this?
Can we supplement the lamb for small steak fillet and grill on foreman grill? Can we used canned tomatoes in their own juice and fresh tomatoes?
    Thanks
    N :o)

    1. damian

      Hi there Nicole πŸ™‚

i love your omelette idea – go for it – but use coconut oil or macadamia oil not olive oil spray.
Nuts and seeds – about 1/2 a cup sounds good.
Feta is about 2 fingers worth… your index finger and your expressive/middle finger together will demonstrate your unique portion.
      yes to Feijoas
great for the poached pear πŸ™‚
yes to the steak and the tomatoes πŸ™‚

      go for it!!

  58. Gendi Dwight

Question about vegetarian protein. Can I use tofu or tempeh occassionally and other legumes (not just lentils with quinoa and brown rice – but black beans, black eye peas, red kidney beans etc)?

  59. Alex Delores

    Hi there,

I’ve received some great recipes via email and I want to try them to get out of my meat + salad rut!

However, some of them contain ingredients that aren’t on the shopping list/menu such as cream (frittata recipe) and coconut cream (soup recipe).

Is it OK to have these (in the quantities stated in the recipes)?

  60. dietfreak

    Hi
Can u eat fish from a box, and if you are in a hurry and want something quick to eat, could u have a protein bar, and if so, which one do u recommend.
    Thanks dee weyers

    1. damian

      Hey Dee,

I don’t recommend protein bars… they aren’t a good source of health… they are just a protein bar. in terms of fish in a box… can you elaborate? are you talking about Sardines?

      Damian

  61. leanne123

    Hi Damian,

I have completed the 21 day challenge, very successfully in the past 3 months and I am now pregnant. Is it safe/ok to continue with the programme?

    Thanks Leanne

    1. damian

      Well Done Leanne,

during pregnancy it is important to maintain healthy calorie intake and eat healthy food. You can certainly continue with the food you are eating on this programme long term if you wish. Its safe food. Just make sure you are eating enough – at least 1400cals per day.

  62. shannon

    Hi,
I have just signed up πŸ™‚ Where do I find the recipies? e.g. poached fish
    Cheers

    1. damian

Hi there Shannon – the recipes will be coming into your inbox in the next day or so. πŸ™‚

  63. andrea pollock

    Hi there Damien,
I am doing well on the 21 day programme and have lost 2kg already. I’m struggling with low blood pressure (mine is very low naturally!) Yesterday at a Dr’s appointment it was 80/40. I have been light-headed most of today. When I eat it comes right for an hour and then it drops again. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Andy

    1. damian

Hey Andy! Great stuff! Well done! it may be wise to ensure you are eating enough salt and drinking enough water- if you are doing these things, may i suggest that you look at taking some magnesium powder to assist with salt regulation. regards Damian

  64. AnnieR

Can you clarify how many Uroplex needs to be taken? Emails I’ve received and also the label on the bottle say 3 tabs 3xday; but the Programme says 2 tabs 3xday.

Also, do these need to be taken on an ongoing basis? I’m unsure that I need them/that they’re of any benefit to me?

    1. phyllis

It should say on the bottle “or as directed by your health professional” Damian recommends 3 uroplex 2 times a day. Uroplex does not need to be taken on an ongoing basis. It is used to support your kidneys while on the programme and is great for Urinary Disturbances.

  65. akingi

    Hi Damian

I am on my second day of the 21 Day Changelle. And I am really enjoying the food so far. Is at ok to cook an omlette instead of a frittata? Is it normal to have headaches? Is it ok if I take some panadol or would this affect my results?

    Thanks

    1. phyllis

      Hi there.

Omelette’s and frittata’s are very much the same. The main thing is that you are eating within the food lists, the menu planners are a guide. Headaches, that is a sign that your body is going into detox which is quite common on the 21 day programme. You should notice that the headaches wear off, if not please email me at support@slimyou.com If the headaches are too much then panadol is fine. Make sure you are drinking enough water.

      Thanks Haylee.

  66. Karen Huddleston

    Hi Damian
I am doing the 21 day challenge I find it hard to eat the poached egg breakfast but thought I would enjoy it better if I made all the ingredients into an omelette, perhaps a sloppyish omelette, would that make any difference.
    Karen

    1. Karen Huddleston

OOPS, just read that someone else was struggling with the breakfast and they made an omelette and you have said that that is fine, so no need to answer my question, already done.

  67. Crin

Hiya, can being on a high protein eating plan like this play havoc with your emotions/hormones? I have done the 21days and enjoyed it so much, I’m continuing on it and I’m in tears all the bloody time hahaha. Just thought I’d ask seen as thats really the only thing thats changed recently. =)

    1. phyllis

      Hi Crin
you should be balancing out and its not a high protein programme so are you eating the amount of veges and salad that you should ? Please check the menu planners and food lists
If in doubt you should see your doctor re the tears as it’s not part of the programme
      xx
      hope that helps

    2. phyllis

      Hi Crin.
Those are happy tears! lol It could be that you have made a drastic change in your diet? Try supplementing with vitamin d, this helps a million! Most New Zealanders are vitamin d deficient. We have a good quality vitamin d supplement available for purchase on our 21 days website. Well done!

  68. Monique Williams

    Hi there
I am about to start the 21 day body blitz challenge.
I have signed up for the newsletter, but I haven’t received anything? I just wanted to get some receipe ideas before I began.
    Thanks

    1. phyllis

Hi there, there are recipes with the programme and also a winter and summer week long menu for each plus your food lists with the programme
      hope that helps

      1. Monique

Yes I have the menu planners, but just wondered if there were actual receipe ideas please – I see on the questions page that people have been sent via email receipes which I haven’t received and I signed up months ago.
        Thanks

    2. phyllis

      Hi Monique.
Where did you sign up for the newsletter? Do you mean the 21 day newsletter? I added you a little while ago, there are some recipes in some of the daily motivators.

  69. helenlow

Hello, I am on Day 4 and am trying not to look at the scales more than twice a week so no update on my weight yet. I do have a few questions.

Note my palm size is approx 10cm by 9cm πŸ™‚

1.How much protein is an egg in terms of palm size? I don’t quite understand it. In the menu is has 5eggs, 100grams of chicken, 50g cottage cheese and some salmon…in my mind thats like 7 palmfulls. Or is an egg 1/2 a palmful?

2: If I don’t particulary like cottage cheese or Boccincini, what are the best things to replace it with? Would 4 balls = 1 egg, or 50g cottage cheese= 1 egg? or replace either of those measurements with the two finger rule for feta? I am unsure of how that works.

3: It says in the morning to have a few strawberries and yoghurt before exercise. Should I do that before I exercise, if I exercise at 5pm?

4: How do you make the dressings on the menu?

Annd please note that the shopping list doesn’t seem to match the menu, especially in term of the meat. On the summer shopping list it says 100g of fish and 150g salmon. But the menu has 1 grilled salmon (day 2), 150g fish (day 3), grilled salmon (day4), 100g seared tuna (day 5), i fillet of snapper (day 6). It made it very hard when I thought I just took the shopping list with me!

    1. phyllis

I highly recommend purchasing the Palm Method dvd which is available on the http://www.21daystochange.co.nz website, just go to “Products”. The dvd Damian Kristof put together explains nutrition and portioning meals correctly in more detail.
Cottage Cheese & Boccincini are Rich Protein foods, if they are not your preference then you can substitute them for any thing else listed under Protein. Please see your programme guide for these details.
1 Strawberrie and 1 dessert spoon of full fat all natural yoghurt is what we call the “break-fast”. That is enough to break your fast upon rising, you should eat this pre-workout to encourage fat loss and then have your first meal of the day post-workout for better results.
We are currently working on the meal planners. Thank you for your feedback.
What dressing are you referring to exactly?

  70. stacey otufangavalu

    Hi there,

What are your thoughts on Bulghur wheat? could i use this instead of Quinoa?

Day 17 so far, might just have a bit of carb!

  71. Andrea Lukin

Hi there, I have just brought the programme as a last resort for loosing the much needed extra weight. Am abit nervous about startng another programme but have read through all the comments and success that people have written. I read through the meal plan and am concerned that eggs play alot in the meals for breakfast and lunch…….I am unable to eat alot of eggs so is there an alternative to eating so many??

    1. Haylee

      Hi Andrea.

The meal planners are simply a guide, you can switch the meals around or create your own as long as you stick with the foods listed in the programme. If you have a concern for eggs simply replace them with another source of protein eg: chicken
I hope this answers your question.

  72. Angelina Talagi

I’m breastfeeding my 5mth old daughter, can I still do the 21 Day Body Blitz?

    1. Haylee

      Hi Angelina.

We recommend commencing the programme when you are not breastfeeding.

      Thank you πŸ™‚

  73. Jody Marshall

    Hi there,
I’m sorting myself out to start the 21 day challenge and am getting a bit overwhelmed by the amount of water I’ll have to drink. As I weigh 140kgs it means I’ll have to drink almost 5 litres…. eek, I can normally only get through 2 pump bottles full a day. Is there a limit on how much water you should be drinking, or is it more a case of suck it up? (pun intended hehe)

    1. Haylee

      Hi Jody,

haha yes suck it up! 25mls per kg of body weight is considered ideal. Another way to monitor your water intake is to check your urine. It should be only slightly coloured, and you should have 1 clear urination a day. A strong odor to your urine, along with a yellow or amber color, may indicate that you may not be getting enough water.

      Haylee.

  74. Alex Delores

    Hi there,

How much pumpkin soup (from the recipe in the email sequence) is an appropriate amount? Think I might be indulging a bit πŸ˜‰

  75. Lettyx1

Hey, I’m confused! I am on day 3 and hungry! I’ve read posts where people mention difficulty getting through all the food and also I’ve looked at the recipes but they don’t tally with what’s on the shopping list/menu planner. I feel like I’m missing something…. What am I doing wrong??

    1. Haylee

      Hey Lettyx1,

Everybody is different in lifestyle, diet, genetics etc.. While some might find they are struggling with all the food, some may be quite the opposite. As long as you are eating according to your palm size (please consider the palm method dvd which is available on our website) then you should be fine. Use “Good fats” eg. a few raw almonds, as a source of fuel to get you to your next meal if need be, or increase your protein portion slightly during your meals. As you go further on the plan, these new portion sizes should be satisfactory for you.

      Haylee.

    1. Haylee

      Hi Chris.
Eggs are a source of protein so you can replace them with any other protein listed in the programme. For eg. Chicken

Let us know how you get on πŸ™‚

  76. Jenny

Hi – can you tell me how to save the recordings onto my ipod. When I click on the download – it just plays it and doesn’t give me the option to save it. Thanks.
    Jenny

    1. Haylee Post author

To download to Itunes please do the following:
      Hi Jenny,

      Sure. Log into
Go to “Members Downloads” and scroll down to the mp3 recordings
Where it says “Download Mp3” you are going to right click on that green button
Choose “Download linked file” (I work from a Mac, I’m not sure if you are pc or not or if the options are slightly different)
(For this next part, you need to make sure Itunes is your default media player)
Double click on the downloaded file (in your downloads) and it will copy it to your Itunes.

      Haylee.

  77. Kerry McLees

Hi, I have recently started the Body Blitz programme and am hosting a small dinner party on Friday night so need your help! I am ok with the main meal as I am going to make fish with stir fry veges for everyone, however I am wondering if there is a dessert I could make that would be ok for me and the guests won’t realise it is good for them!
    Thanks
    Kerry

    1. Kerry McLees

In addition to this, I have been wondering whether or not to make the poached pears with yoghurt?

    2. Haylee Post author

      Hi Kerry.

For the occasion, this would be a great dessert (but not frequent when on the 21 day)
Amount depends on how many servings you need, easy to figure that out.
A bowl of chunky fresh fruit
Cover with full fat all natural yoghurt
      Drizzle with Manuka Honey
Grate dark chocolate over the top (preferably 80%)
      And serve!

    1. Haylee Post author

      Hi Sam,

That all depends on your location and when you order. Generally our orders are scheduled to take 1 – 3 working days (non rural, within New Zealand)
There are products in our store that you will not find elsewhere. They have been recommended by Dr Damian for their quality as well as potency. (Oral supplements)

  78. Raeline Ferguson

    Hi Damian
1st day and sorry but can’t do the spinach and bean combo for breakfast – gag material – what is a substitute. Also, I see in your fritatta recipe that you use ‘cream’ isn’t that naughty? Is it ok to have to proteins together i.e. feta cheese and eggs in the fritatta? I love my fruit so can I have a piece a day? Sorry so many questions but I want to do it right. Thanks Raeline

    1. Haylee Post author

      Hi Raeline,
The menu planners are simply a guide, you can mix up the foods as you wish but you must follow the palm method for optimal results. You don’t have to have the egg & vege breakfast, you could have the fruit & yoghurt or a left over dinner meal or create your own meal using the foods listed. Cream is fine in the frittata recipe. You can have a mixture of proteins in one meal, just follow the palm method when portioning your meal. Fruit, for the first week keep it to a minimal 1 piece a day or every other day is ok.

  79. Tracey Brawley

Hi I am currently on day 10 of the 21day challenge. I found the first week great and didn’t have any issues with the food but since day 8 I am really struggling eating the eggs and omlette, to the point that I feel quiet ill. I’m worried if I don”t eat the food in the format you have outlined , that I won’t loose wait. Can I take the eggs out and swap them for a different protien on the list

    1. Haylee Post author

      Hi Tracey.
The menu planners are simply a guide, you can mix up the meals and or create your own. For optimal results, keep to the foods listed in the foods lists and portion your meals according to the palm method.
      Thanks πŸ™‚

  80. Caroline Bailey

On my 7th day of the programme it is going really well I have lost 2.8 kilos that I have not been able to shift for some time. My question is some days I feel good and other days I feel horrendous. For example today I woke up with a headache and just felt generally yuck. I thought this would have gone by now and I would feel great every day, I suppose what I am asking is this normal.

    Thanks for your help

    1. support

      Hi Caroline,

Everyone’s level of detoxing is different so this is could be normal for you. We don’t know what your diet was like before. However if you are concerned about your health make sure you consult with your health practitioner.
And well done on the weight you have lost. That is awesome!

  81. sharon crocker

    Hi
I am on day 5 of the 21 day challenge, I also haven’t received any emails since the the initial ones! Is this correct?
Also how much kumara are you allowed at each meal where stated on the winter set menu?
    Also can I drink tea?
I have only been drinking cold or hot water with a slice of lemon.
    Thanks

    1. support

Hi Sharon, I have had a look and it shows you have been sent 9 emails. Please check your junk mail box.
Re: the kumara, just a small amount. It also depends on how much other food you have on your plate.
Re: the tea, yes you can as long as there is no milk or sugar in it.
The lemon water is great. Try hot lemon juice and freshly grated ginger (just about a cm square) first thing in the morning as this is great for digestion and circulation.

Thanks for that I will try the ginger sounds yum! Ok I’ve found the emails now in junk thanks,
Should I be getting recipes too?

There are some in the emails, some on the website and you also have the food lists and menus…:0)

You can replace them with any other protein food like fish. Look at your food list at what you can have.

    Hi,
I’m just starting the 21 day challenge and am a vegetarian who doesn’t eat eggs. Just wanted to ask can I have the yoghurt and fruit option every day for breakfast and is tofu ok as a protein option?
    thanks
    naomi

    1. damian

      Hi there Naomi,

Yes that is fine for you. however, if you eat cheese, try having bocconcini cheese and feta in different meals so that you aren’t relying on Tofu as your only source of protein.

        Damian,

For some resson I can’t post a testimonal and photos. I’m techincally a week away from finishing as started late. To date I have dropped 4.6kg at the end of this week two and am feeling great, Good energy levels, making the rigfht choices when dinning out and into a routine of pre-preparing my meals so I’m sorted for each and every day. I love this program and its so easy to follow and makes so much sense. I exercise alot and with this clean eating the results are fantastic. Lost an inche around my waist and my arms are the most noticeable to me, more definition and no more flabby triceps. Thanks and will continue on my journey, 10kg to go to goal weight.
        Sharon

    Hi

Have just started the 21 day challenge. I usually have a green smoothie every morning but it has a couple of pieces of fruit in it….as well as all the lovely leafy greens from the garden. Should I still have these during the 21 days and if so when?

    1. support

      Hi Cara,

The smoothie sounds great but it depends on the fruit you are having in it. My suggestion is to only put apple in it for the 21 days.

      1. CaraF

Hi I really need to ask a question but the space for asking questions is gone on the ask a question page….?

  84. Courtney Seward

    Hi there,

I have a few questions. I have downloaded the meal planner and I know that this is just meant as a guide but thought I would check anyway:

    1. there is a meal with a small jacket kumara/sweet potato. This isn’t on the allowed list of foods though?

    2. On day 4 dinner you have grilled salmon and 3 eggs, surely this is much more than a palm sized piece of protein as in the morning there is only 2 eggs suggested?

    3. There are a few meals that don’t seem to have any good fats? For example dinner on day 1.

Sorry if I am being too pedantic but want to make sure i do this properly.

    Thanks in advance!

    1. damian

HI there Courtney – i am sorry i thought that this had been answered. you can stick to the food lists and or use the meal planners as a guide πŸ™‚ there is one meal where you eat a heap of protein. it works really well! with the good fats, trust me πŸ™‚ its balanced πŸ™‚ thanks Damian

  85. Rachel

Not eating carbs has been an eye opener! Easier than I thought it would be and I lost 4.5kg the first week of the programme (exstatic!). But the second week I lost nothing and have to confess to eating a slice of home-made fresh bread over the long weekend. Can eating just 1 slice have an impact on my weight loss or was it 1 too many eggs for breakfast in my omlette?

Half way through week 3 and things seem back on track but that might be the colon cleanse that finally arrived πŸ™‚

    1. damian

HI tehre Rach, Try the colon cleanse – that can get things going again πŸ™‚ 1 slice of bread or a glass of wine can stop a program like this in its tracks for a bit. dont fear, it will all come back into line. Damian

  86. Susie Jones

Hi there, I am just gearing myself up to start. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and am experiencing a flare up at the moment (fatigue, pain, brain fog). I am hoping that the 21 day challenge will move me beyond the ongoing sugar and chocolate addiction I have and help me put a new regime in place so I can better manage the fibro. Should I wait until the flare up ends or should I start asap?
thanks and look forward to hearing from you,
    best wishes
    Susie

    1. damian

Start Immediately! πŸ™‚ it will be great for you! do it for the next few months if you can. it will help you enormously!

  87. Norbert Roth

    Hi,

We are day 2 into the 21 day program and we wanted to know if we are able to swap olives for the snack nuts. or can we substitute olives in the salads for the olive oil to have a variation?

    Thanks,
    Norbert

    1. damian

Hey Norbert – you can change the program if you like. go for it πŸ™‚ but movements away from what is suggested may alter your results. in saying that – some olives in place of nuts shouldn’t cause too much problem. please use oil on the salads! πŸ™‚

    Hi
Just wondering if the weight and size for meat is for cooked or uncooked. With chicken I might start with a palm of uncooked but it ends up about half that when cooked.
    Cheers
    Rachel

    1. damian

HI there Rachel :0 great question – it doesn’t matter too much if it is cooked or uncooked. most people find it fine to measure the cooked portion, but i also see amazing results with the uncooked measured portion.

    Hi there Damian,
On day 6 and doing pretty good lost 2.15 kg feeling good too mostly. In last 2 days I have been getting acid feeling in gut. It sorta feels empty/hollow in between meals, but it isnt a hunger pain. Cant figure it. Today on day 6 it has subsided more but still feel acid. Also am starting to really want sweet. Any suggestions would be great. I have been doing the menu exactly to what day menu says. That includes no spicy food. Just as it says on menu.
I like what is happening to the bod.
    Cheers CT

    1. damian

Hey CT! awesome results! if your tummy is still playing up – you may benefit a lot from adding lemon juice to your meals – also it would be helpful to have 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar each morning in water :). If you have heartburn or acid reflux on an empty stomach it often means that you have an infection in your gut. this is often a bug called helicon baxter pylori. its worth seeing your health care professional to get advise on how best to manage that. I use herbs and nutrients to manage those problems. it depends on who your health practitioner is as to what approach may be used.

  90. Liz Tangaere

Hi Damian can you tell me what effect not having a thyroid would have on a person as I had mine removed 5 years ago and my weight has yoyoed. Is there anything diffrent I could be doing for weight loss??
    Cheers Liz

    1. damian

Hi there Liz – if you are taking your medication your other organs should respond well in kind. There are other nutrients that can be of benefit such as iodine and selenium – however its important that you get your levels and nutrient values checked. before starting these things as they will affect your medication

  91. Lynette Morgan

    Hi there,
I have just joined thru the ‘Grab One’ site so really looking forward to getting started.
Just a couple of questions though.
I have been using Arctic Cod Liver Oil now for quite sometime, is it okay for me to stick with this brand.
Also I notice you do not have Pineapple on your fruit list (I only just purchased 4 yesterday) and Soy Milk ,does this mean these are off the list for the 21 day challenge and also, if a food is NOT on the list does this mean “Avoid ALL FOODS not listed until after the 21 day challenge.
    Awaiting your reply,
    Many Thanks

    1. support

yep you got it Lynette, Damian recommends the brand of Metagenics because of its quality

  92. Vinni Kailani

I am planning to start the 21 day challenge soon but a bit concerned as I am a lacto vegetarian – no egg, fish, gelatin, rennet etc.

    – Do you have a meal planner or recipes for meals without the above ingredients?

    – Are the colon cleaner and other supplements suitable for vegetarians and free from the above ingredients?

    – Can I use lite soy milk for protein?

    – I am doing a 12 week challenge at my gym, hence strenuous exercise 5 days a week. Will I be able to cope with it on such strict diet regime?

I look forward to hear back from u soon.

    Thanks

    1. support

The colon cleanser is pure magnesium oxide so if you can take than you will be good to go , check it out
you receive a food list as well as a menu so you can as you would in your everyday life being a Lacto Vegetarian make the changes you need
This programme has not been written specifically for Lacto but you can leave out and put in what you need

I think you be able to cope as i do quite a bit of exercise and manage , however you know yourself best

  93. Sandra Cully

    Hi there.
I have just purchased through grab one, but I am unclear, do we receive the actual book etc, or is it all only downloadable?

    cheers, sandra.

    Hi Damian,

I an attractive 37 years old female but sadly weigh 150kg+ at 173cm & no kids. I’ve also been banded and still haven’t lost anything. Over the last 20 odd years I’ve had a very stressful life and its only now I can start looking after myself. For the last 2 weeks I’ve stopped eating a block of choc almost every night and swapped it for a small amount of cheese and crackers before bed and eat oats with psyllium for brekky but the weight doesn’t seem to be coming off. I’m not a big bread eater but I eat brown rice and gluten free pasta when I need the carbs. I prefer little carbs because my body feels better without them. I don’t want to be this weight forever because I’d really like to find love. Can you help me?
